It's all about consumption. Human being can not control it's consumption and population growth. Whatever these powerful men do from cop 2/3 till 22 and far beyond... The climate is going to warm, speeches going to disappear for sure. And eventually this small size dinosaur(you, me we all) going to starve, fight and disappear leaving the planet empty.
Sustainable development is a myth unless I can stop running for money, car, house, delicious meals and destroy each and everything around. We have to go back pure natural and live wise with in complete natural environment. Can we any more? Can we dare to leave all the possession that we have. Each of them have come from notorious degradation of environment. We are choosing this path.

Today's seven and half billion population is going to become 10 billion by end of the century. Lower land area, lower agriculture production and lower amount of water will be available, for mankind. Whatever actions we are taking today for per capita reduction of carbon foot print, is must. But unless we put break on ever increasing population growth, it will not be possible to adapt to the available resources and continue with sustainability. Why are we not talking about it in COP22. All countries shall be given a target to control population growth and mandate stabilization of population to certain pre-determined level by 2065 (50 years from now). This earth is generous and good enough only to support population levels of 1980s, the time when we realized global warming problem. India and China should be given a target to bring down population to the level of 1 billion each and stabilize there or bring down further. Similarly all highly populated countries shall be given targets depending on their regional and ecological sustainability. It is easy to calculate with reference to 0.8 as average human development index and 20 Giga ton as global CO2 emission limit, what would be the limiting population of each country. My request to all eminent dignitaries, think tanks, scientists, politicians and regulators to look seriously into this and do something. Because time is today to act. It is easy to control population and adapt, else there will be lot of bloodshed if we leave it to nature. We definitely have time today to avoid this, but not tomorrow. Taking into account today's energy needs for good life and options available in front of us, our earth is not capable to support current population levels. So our efforts to achieve our objective (of limiting temperature rise to 2 degrees) will have to go hand in hand with population growth control. Else we are working on one front to combat climate change while other front is going to have dominating and nullifying effect. So we shall do something on this social and political front even though it is sensitive. Earth is not going to be sensitive towards us if we play with its climate.
