Adaptation with ever increasing population

Today's seven and half billion population is going to become 10 billion by end of the century. Lower land area, lower agriculture production and lower amount of water will be available, for mankind. Whatever actions we are taking today for per capita reduction of carbon foot print, is must. But unless we put break on ever increasing population growth, it will not be possible to adapt within the available resources and continue with sustainability. This is the time, we talk about it in COP22. All countries shall be given a target to control population growth and mandate stabilization of population to certain pre-determined levels by 2066 (50 years from now). This earth is generous and good enough only to support population levels of 1980s, the time when we realized global warming problem. India and China should be given a target to bring down population to the level of 1 billion each and stabilize there or bring down further. Similarly all highly populated countries shall be given targets depending on their regional and ecological sustainability. It is possible to calculate with reference of 0.8 as minimum target human development index and 20 Giga ton as global CO2 emission limit, what would be the limiting population for each country. Eminent dignitaries, think tanks, scientists, politicians and regulators are required to look seriously into this and decide something. It is possible to control population (the way China did) and adapt, else there will be lot of bloodshed, if we leave it to nature. We definitely have time today to avoid this, but not tomorrow. Taking into account energy needs for good life and today's available energy options, our earth is not capable to support current as well as growing population levels. So our efforts to achieve objective (of limiting temperature rise to 2 degrees) need to go hand in hand with population growth control. Else we are working on one front to combat climate change while other front is going to have dominating and nullifying effect. So we shall do something on this social and political front even though it is sensitive. Earth is not going to be sensitive towards mankind, if we play with its climate.
